Buy Patio Furniture

If you enjoy sitting out in the sun in the summer and entertaining friends then you must buy patio furniture that will be comfortable, compliment your home and yard, and last a long time.  There are plenty of options of table and chair sets that you can buy at varying prices so that anyone can afford to have comfortable seating outdoors.

Plastic tables and chairs are usually the cheapest option. They wipe off easily so can be cleaned should you spill anything on them and can be dried off fast if it has rained earlier in the day. You can get a range of colours too, although usually they are white or green.  The chairs are usually stackable so can easily be tidied away if you need them to be.  They are very light so they can be moved around the garden if some areas get better sun at different times of the day. The disadvantages are that they aren’t always that comfortable and can get very hot in the sun if you leave them out all day.  Also the colours may fade if they are left out all the time, and can get brittle if certain types of plastic are used.

Metal patio furniture can look very classy and comes in a range of styles.  You can get tables with mosaic tops, or wire mesh tables and a whole range of other styles.  They are usually made in rust free metal so that they don’t need to be taken in during the summer.  These are a lot heavier than plastic furniture so can be more difficult to move, and the chairs rarely stack up so can take up more room. However, they are unlikely to blow around in the wind and the design is usually a lot better.

Wooden patio furniture is usually the most popular. The chair can often fold up to be stacked away for the winter.  They can be stained every now and again if they get faded from the sun.  They are heavy enough to withstand light winds, but light enough to move easily.  They tend to be attractive in design but practical in style, and usually come with removable cushions that you can bring out with you as the seats can be uncomfortable.  The main disadvantage is that you can’t easily clean them off, so that a spillage on the table or chair could stain them, so it may be worth using a table cloth on the table if you are using it for a meal.  You will also find that they take a long time to dry off if it has rained, as unlike metal and plastic sets, you can’t just wipe them off.  However, the sun won’t make them too hot to use and they look more natural and are more likely to fit in with your garden design.

So you can see that there is a large range of patio furniture available and can suit every taste and budget.  You really have no excuse for not being able to entertain your friends on those lovely hot summer days.
